Don’t laugh but I’m very new to highlighting… well maybe not new, as a teenager I had an amazing Mac iridescent powder can’t remember the name but I <3 it. I first heard about it on @MizzWorthy’s blog.
In the last month I have purchased Smashbox O Glow, Nars Orgasm Illuminator and the Limited Edition No7 Natural Radiance Highlighter.
The only one I feel I have used enough to review is the No 7 and I thought I better spread the word before it’s sold out.

I hate the design on the packaging, it remind me of my Grandma’s bedroom & I think it could have been so much prettier. Anyway, it definitely wouldn’t stop me repurchasing.

Love the product itself, so easy to apply & work with. Lovely consistency, its light… what more can I say!
Check out the swatch below:

I bought mine in Boots in Belfast for £13, I am not sure of the € equivalent price.Has anyone else bought this? What do you think? Do you rate it as high as me?
My advice is… buy it before it’s sold out

Left to Right: Blue My Mind, Grey Matter, Sky High
Popped into Boots in Nutgrove Shopping Centre on Saturday morning while waiting for the Crystals&Co girls to open up their nearby office and I got chatting to a lovely girl behind the counter. We were discussing the Revlon Spring Collection which is now in store, and 3 for 2 I may add
I am looking forward to picking up Revlon Photo Ready in 004 Nude after pay day and she showed me the new Rimmel, Spring shades. I just had to purchase, would have been rude not too.
I couldn’t decide which shade to try first as my nails are in bits at the moment so please excuse the shoddy paint job, I didn’t have much to work with!

Grey Matter
Today I am wearing Grey Matter €5.25 in Boots. I love it, it looks exactly as it seems in the bottle. It is a perfect grey shade, completely matte. I think I would have worn this colour a lot during the Winter. I think Spring / Summer should be more about the bright colours however I do really like it. I was lusting after OPI My Private Jet but I’m pretty happy with this offering for half the price from Rimmel.

- Sky High

- Blue My Mind
While I am a huge fan of Rimmels polishes, I’m not a fan of their new Xpress Brush with 1 sec application. I find it harder to apply along the sides of my nail and I prefer the old style. Could it be because of my short bitten nails? What do you guys think? Do you rate it?
I can’t wait to try out Sky High & Blue My Mind which I think will go with my outfit for the Irish Blog Awards on Sat in Galway!

Having heard the latest buzz about threading on blogs and Twitter. I HAD to give it a go. I was hoping to go to Neelus Salon however she seems to be in Arnotts now full time and I am never in town.
I then remembered of a pretty salon I’d driven by in Stepaside; Vanity Rooms. I checked their site and found that they did threading so I booked in. The lady, Bridget that does the threading is fantastic. Very friendly and explains everything as she is doing it. The selling and redness is much less than waxing and the sensation is unusual but not sore at all. It was fantastic; I don’t think I will ever go back to waxing or plucking my brows.
The shape has lasted much longer than waxing however I believe the regrowth started back sooner. I have maintained my brows using my fab new Polka Dot Tweezerman which I purchased in Boots, Liffey Valley for a whopping €29.99. Love it, thoroughly recommend a Tweezerman if anyone is looking for a new tweezers and haven’t tried one before.

Polka Dot Tweezerman
I can’t wait to go to back to Vanity Rooms for more treatments, maybe a little bit more of a treat than threading.
Have you been? Let me know what treatments you recommend, I am dying for a facial!

How had I never heard of dry shampoo before reading Dressjunkie’s blog? Why had I never noticed it while spending many hours browsing in Boots…
Since reading about it I was in Sally’s in Dublin with my Mum and I went looking for it, unfortunately it was sold out. The next time I went to Boots I wasn’t leaving till I found it! I got Batiste Original, €3.19, not bad. The next morning I was amazed. Ok so the grey highlight look freaked me out a bit but after a lil massage at the roots and a brush through my hair was left as though I’d just put down my hairdryer and GHD.

Batiste
A month later and I don’t know how I managed without it, thank you Dressjunkie for showing me the way forward. I have tried Batiste Orginal which I love, Tropical is great too but I think I prefer the orginal without such a powerful fragrance, I will try out a few other brands and keep you posted!

I had won tickers for Xpose Live on Q102 last month, so decided to go along on Saturday 9th May in the RDS.
I throughly enjoyed the walk around the expo and the fashion show. I was introduced to new products including Incoco, dry nail polish, Smooth Away and Gosh Cosmetics which I heard of but never seen before.
Firstly Incoco where doing an offer of buy a packet for €6.99 or have it applied for €10.

Incoco - French Polish
I took my seat and had my nails done by a lovely girl, Roisin, as she applied the strips she talked me through how to do them myself. I opted for a French Polish. When she said it would last 8 to 10 days, I thought to myself, no way. I can honestly verify it lasted 2 full weeks. Ok so there were a few chips towards the end of the 14 days however compared to regular nail polish, it was amazing. Go out and get them girlies, I believe they are available in Boots & Dunnes.

Incoco Nails
My only other purchase due to do funds was 3 Gosh Cosmetic products, any 3 for €10. Not bad at all. I got Nail Lacquer in 571 Wild Lilac, Tropical Eye Pencil in 100 in Violet Queen & Looooong Lash mascara. I have only used the eye liner and mascara once but hope to review in a few weeks.

Gosh Cosmetics
The fashion show was enjoyable, the dancers were top class, they were from Jane Shortall Dance. Fantastic. The younger girls were from a different drama school and were so cute doing Beyonce, Single Ladies.
Brian was my date for the afternoon, while it would be most fellas worst nightmares he was so good & patient he got treated to a yummy *Real Gourmet Burger afterwards! He did draw the line at the end of the fashion show when Chicco came on stage…
All in all, I enjoyed the trip to Xpose Live however at the same time I was glad I hadn’t paid in
